We accept HSA (Health Savings Account) and FSA (Flexible Spending Account) benefit cards at GV Optical. Prescription readers, sunglasses, progressive multifocals, computer glasses and more are available for purchase with your HSA/FSA. We know that a lot of these benefits expire on December 31st, so we want to help you get the most of your benefit.
HSA (Health Savings Account) is a savings account that you can use to pay for medical expenses such as dental, vision, and medical doctor copays. These are usually offered if your medical insurance carries a high deductible, and can be interest bearing investment accounts using pre-tax monies. How HSA monies can be spent varies from plan to plan, but prescription eyewear is usually eligible.

FSA (Flex Spending Account) is a spending account that you can use to pay for medical expenses such as dental, vision, and medical doctor copays. These accounts are funded by pre-tax monies and can be partially funded by both employer and employee contributions. These plans differ from HSA (Health Savings Account) in that they typically do not roll over year after year. This means that if you don’t use it, you can lose the money that you set aside for medical expenses.

Lots of in-network insurance benefits renew in January. That means if you don’t use your benefits for the calendar year, you’re missing out on potential savings. We are providers for local eyewear insurers, so if your employer or insurance plan includes eyewear, you may be eligible for savings.
In addition to insurance benefits, we have eyewear deals for computer glasses, progressive multifocals and sunglasses! Click here for our specials page, come by the office, or give us a call for more information! 805-967-1012.
